Mukhtar Babayev, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, and designated President of COP29, visited the headquarters of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) in the capital, Islamabad, as part of his visit to Pakistan, Report informs.
Babayev met with Executive Director of COMSATS Mohammad Nafis Zakaria and other officials.
The President of COP29 planted a tree at the event attended by Romina Khurshid Alam, coordinator of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. They discussed COP29, including sustainable development and climate change.
Minister Babayev also discussed the consequences of climate change with the representatives of Pakistan's National Disaster Management Organization.
