President meets with chief advisor to Interim Government of Bangladesh

On November 14, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

According to Report, Muhammad Yunus fondly recalled his previous visit to Azerbaijan, highlighting his collaboration with the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and active participation in its events.

He praised Azerbaijan for becoming a venue for significant international events and congratulated the head of state on the successful organization of COP29 within a short timeframe. Muhammad Yunus also noted opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study in Azerbaijan, the exchange of expertise with Azerbaijan, and collaboration in the areas of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital development.

Muhammad Yunus invited the President of Azerbaijan to pay an official visit to Bangladesh.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the invitation.

President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan's organization of COP29 in a short time and addressed the smear campaign against the country regarding its presidency of COP.

During the conversation, they exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations, reciprocal visits of delegations, strengthening the mechanism of political consultations, and cooperation within international organizations. The sharing of Azerbaijan's ASAN and DOST experiences with Bangladesh was also explored.
