Pakistani activist expresses hope for positive outcome from COP29

Qaiser Nawab, the leader of the Pakistan Youth Movement (NGO Forum), has expressed hope that the discussions on the consequences of climate change at COP29 will yield positive results, Report informs.

In a statement to reporters, Nawab emphasized that bringing together experts from different countries is a significant step in combating climate change.

"This is an important move to bring together experts from around the world and to bring the voice of civil society to this crucial platform," Nawab said. "I believe that everyone is very interested in climate change, and I think Azerbaijan has done a great job hosting this event."

Nawab praised Azerbaijan's hospitality and its well-known cuisine, stating, "Azerbaijan's hospitality is phenomenal, and its delicious food is renowned worldwide. I invite all my friends from around the world to come and experience Azerbaijan's rich culture, savor its delicious cuisine, and, of course, enjoy its music while engaging in positive and productive discussions with a clear mind."

He expressed optimism that the discussions at COP29 will lead to concrete results in the near future, adding that Azerbaijan has initiated a peace process and implemented various initiatives for a multifaceted society.
