The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is satisfied with its renewable energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, Mark Bowman, EBRD Vice President for Policy and Partnerships, told an event titled "Financing Low Carbon Technology Including Nuclear Energy" organized on the sidelines of COP29, Report informs.
"It is very important for EBRD to support countries' energy transformation. We have been successful in supporting countries to expand the use of alternative energy. We supported the first large-scale renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan. We don't just provide financial support. At the same time, we are also active in the political sphere, which is crucial in creating an appropriate environment to support the development of alternative energy," Bowman noted.
