Mukhtar Babayev, COP29 President-Designate and Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, emphasized the need to fully operationalize the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage, Report informs.
"Building on the successes of COP27 and COP28, we must fully operationalize the Loss and Damage Response Fund," Babayev stated during the 3rd meeting of the Board of the Fund held in Baku.
He further stressed, "We should also make progress on loss and damage, as the consequences of climate change are already being felt by many people in various countries."
