The Baku Harmony climate initiative for farmers is crucial in terms of transitioning to a green economy, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev said at an event dedicated to the launch of the Baku Harmony initiative within COP29, Report informs.
He noted that this initiative has three goals, with the main one being the transformation of agriculture.
"First of all, it's a platform for farmers that promotes further strengthening of cooperation. The second goal is to increase investment flow in this area. Private banks will also join the initiative. The third goal is to expand opportunities for farmers, including women," said Babayev.
