Türkiye wholeheartedly supports and take pride in the COP29, set to be held in Azerbaijan, Turkish MP Samil Ayrim, who heads the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, told Report.
Ayrim emphasized that the Turkish government attaches special importance to the organization of COP29 in Baku.
"Climate change is the most pressing issue worldwide, and Azerbaijan's organizational capabilities for international events are always at high level," he stated.
"Welcoming, hosting, and bidding farewell to over a hundred thousand people at an official level, along with ensuring flawless execution of the event, requires meticulous organizational work. It's no small feat. I'm confident that, like all international events, COP29 will be successfully carried out in Azerbaijan," the MP highlighted.
Ayrim added that this international event holds particular significance for showcasing a unified Azerbaijan on the world stage, following the liberation of previously occupied territories.
"Such events are crucial for promoting Azerbaijan. The country's reputation, global trust, credibility, and tourist influx are growing day by day. I believe an even brighter future awaits Azerbaijan," he stressed.
