Minister: Culture for Climate Change platform established at COP29

During the Second High-Level Meeting of Culture Ministers on Culture-Based Climate Action, held on November 15 within the framework of COP29, a decision was made to establish the Culture for Climate Change initiative, Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Karimli stated while commenting on the meeting's outcomes, Report informs.

According to the minister, two decisions were adopted in line with the conclusions of the meeting:

"One is the launch of the Friends Group initiative, and the other is the creation of the 'Culture for Climate Change' platform. Today, the platform was presented, and tomorrow, a broader discussion of the project will take place.

This platform is of great importance to our country. Every year, the topic of Culture for Climate Change will be thoroughly discussed with the participation of specialists in this field, as well as states."

The minister stated that within the framework of the project, which will have its permanent office in Baku, it is planned to sign various official documents and hold international events.
