Japan is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan and share its decarbonization experience, Hayato Shimizu, the mayor of Saitama city in Japan, said in his statement to Report.
"City management is equally important in combating the effects of climate change. We would be very happy to cooperate with Azerbaijani cities in this matter," he emphasized.
Shimizu noted that he was satisfied with the level of organization of the COP29 conference held in Baku and expected important agreements to be signed within the framework of this global summit: "We have decarbonization targets for 2030-2050. We expect to reach agreements to achieve these goals."
