Marcus Perry: Tottenham's contributon to London's economy reached £1 billion

Since the construction of their new state-of-the-art stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has contributed an impressive £1 billion to the economy of London, according to Marcus Perry, the club's Sustainable Development Manager. Perry made this statement at an event focused on football and climate during COP29, according to Report.

Perry expressed pride in Tottenham being recognized as the "greenest" club in the English Premier League.

The club's board of directors has remained unchanged for over 20 years, and they continue to lead the way towards sustainable development, he noted, adding that in 2021, the club set out a roadmap to reduce emissions, focusing on areas such as energy, business travel, and procurement processes.

The areas of focus include energy, business travel, and procurement processes, Perry said, adding that the team continues to strengthen ties with community and has received an award for work in biodiversity.
