Liverpool Football Club has joined the joint alliance of football clubs in the fight against climate change, an initiative led by Qarabag Football Club within the framework of COP29, Rishi Jain, Director of Social Impact at Liverpool FC, said.
According to Report, Jain noted that Liverpool is pleased to join this new alliance created by Qarabag FC to contribute to the fight against climate change within the framework of the Redway project.
"Such initiatives show that not only football clubs, but also all societies on a global scale can play an active role in combating climate change. As Liverpool, we continue our work towards protecting the environment and enhancing the social well-being of communities," Jain stated. "This alliance, formed under COP29, unites the football world to reduce the impacts of climate change and build a sustainable future. Together with our partners, we fulfill our social responsibility by making joint efforts on this topic."
Jain also recalled the Hillsborough disaster, highlighting the club's commitment to contributing to the development of young people through educational programs and initiatives.
