Next year’s Baku Climate Action Week is expected to feature more programs and start-ups aimed at the younger generation, according to Leyla Hasanova, Youth Climate Champion for COP29, Report informs.
Speaking during the session titled “Sustainable Future: Green Innovations Led by Young People,” which was jointly organized by the COP29 Presidency, Azerbaijan’s Science and Education Ministry, and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), she emphasized that Baku Climate Action Week presents a significant opportunity for Azerbaijan and its youth.
"If we use this opportunity, we can make substantial progress towards a green and sustainable future. For us, COP29 doesn’t end in November. Afterward, Azerbaijan should continue to actively participate in climate action. We, the young people, can lay the foundation for this participation," Hasanova said.
