Seventy percent of youth are concerned about climate change, Leyla Hasanova, the Youth Champion for Azerbaijan at COP29, said at an event titled “The Role of Higher Education in the Climate Transition: Towards an Azerbaijan University Network on Climate Change (AUNCCC),” Report informs.
Hasanova noted that young people are aware of the scale of the problem:
"That's why we want to play a role in solving the problem. There is a need to strengthen cooperation between universities as a network. Climate issues should be actively discussed not only within the framework of COP29 but also in other directions. COP29 President-designate Mukhtar Babayev will also support environmental awareness."
