Leyla Aliyeva attends panel discussion on protecting endangered species at COP29

A panel discussion titled "60 Years of Conservation: The IUCN Red List" was organized at COP29 in collaboration between the IDEA Public Union and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

According to Report, speaking at the opening of the event, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Leyla Aliyeva emphasized the important role of protecting endangered species in preserving the global ecosystem and biodiversity.

Leyla Aliyeva stressed that preventing the extinction of living organisms is a global challenge requiring joint action in an atmosphere of international solidarity and cooperation.

Then, the event participants were informed about the rich nature of the South Caucasus and several species of animals characteristic of this region that have already gone extinct.
