As many as 50 presidents, 10 vice-presidents, 20 heads of government, and two crown princes from states party to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will make official statements at the high-level segment for the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP 29 on November 12-13, Report informs. Parties whose heads of state or government did not make national statements on these dates will be able to do so during the resumed high-level segment, which will take place on November 19-20. On the first day of the summit, speeches are expected from the presidents of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Serbia's Aleksandar Vucic, Türkiye's Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Uzbekistan's Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Poland's Andrzej Duda, Kyrgyzstan's Sadyr Japarov, Belarus' Alexander Lukashenko, Bulgaria's Rumen Radev, Finland's Alexander Stubb, and the heads of the European Council Charles Michel and European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, among others. Statements will also be made by Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Belgium's Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, UK's Keir Starmer, Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On November 13, the speeches by heads of state and government will continue. Speeches will be delivered by the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the president of Mongolia, vice presidents of Brazil, Tanzania and Angola, prime ministers of Greece, Croatia, Malta, Italy, Georgia, Hungary, Albania, Pakistan, Russia, Netherlands, Denmark, and others.
