ISESCO announces climate change strategy

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has announced a climate change strategy aimed at combining traditional wisdom with modern technologies to promote sustainable development, ISESCO Director General Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik said at a COP29 event.

According to Report, he noted that this strategy consists of 5 main components: climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, water resource management, soil health protection and sustainable agriculture maintenance, and application of socio-cultural protection to enrich cultural framework and support rural communities.

Al-Malik added that a pilot project will be launched to study implementation methods of this strategy in member countries.
