IRENA: Interconnected, flexible, balanced networks are needed in renewable energy

Flexible, interconnected and balanced networks are necessary in the field of renewable energy sources, Francesco La Camera, Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), said at the event "Ministerial Dialogue: Expanding Investment for Tripling Renewable Energy Use and Doubling Energy Efficiency," organized within COP29 in Baku, Report informs.

"It is a great honor for me to represent the agency at this session. Based on my experience, I can say that this event is very well organized. To create renewable energy infrastructure, it is necessary to work within the framework of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). We need interconnected, flexible, balanced networks. Moreover, financial institutions must understand that this should also be a priority for their activities," said the IRENA Director General.
