Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has called France's non-participation in climate discussions a mistake, Report informs.
This topic was covered in a Haber Global report about France's non-participation in COP29.
The report notes that COP29 continues successfully in Baku.
While leading countries such as Türkiye, the UK, Italy, Spain, and others are participating in the event, France has not joined the session.
Responding to a question about this, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that, regardless of the reasons, France's absence from climate change discussions is wrong. The COP29 team has been conducting constructive work and negotiations with the opposite side. The story also mentions the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It emphasizes that Jeyhun Bayramov indicated ongoing work on the agreement.
"The main focus is on COP29. Face-to-face meetings are definitely impossible until December. Work on the document continues," Bayramov noted.
