The agenda of ongoing COP29 in Azerbaijan is centered around securing the necessary funds to combat climate change, Report informs via Haber Global.

According to Haber Global, the heads of state and government officials are looking for ways to provide funds to combat the climate crisis.

The meteorology editor of Haber Global, Bunyamin Surmeli, emphasized the importance of creating financial resources for this battle, while also underlining the absence of high-level participation from the world's top emitting countries.

The role of banks in providing financial support for climate action was also highlighted.

The conference aims to secure funding needed to combat the climate crisis. In particular, the goal is to find financial assistance commitments from countries to help those nations most severely affected by climate change.

Experts estimate that developing countries, excluding China, require at least one trillion dollars annually to transition to green energy and protect themselves from extreme weather events.
