The possibility of a new US president withdrawing from the Paris Agreement exists, but the global community must not stop pursuing climate goals, according to Naderev Saño, Executive Director of Greenpeace Southeast Asia.
Saño told Report that climate action can be taken not only at the national level but also at the state and city levels in the United States, regardless of who occupies the White House.
Saño pointed out that developed countries have sufficient funds for climate action, stating, "We see how they use money for wars, conflicts, and to support their banks and financial institutions." He expressed his expectation that COP29 will achieve a new climate finance goal.
