Efficient use of natural resources, restoration of ecological balance, and protection of biodiversity are very important, Marketing Director at Global Management under the Global Media Group, Laura Seyidbayova, said at the tree plantation campaign held on the initiative of Global Media Group, with the participation of Global Management and other companies of the Group and with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Report informs.
She noted that she was very pleased to participate in the environmental action organized to strengthen environmental awareness and sustainable development activities: "Building a healthy and evergreen world is the common and urgent responsibility of mankind. We, in turn, contribute to sustainable development by organizing such environmental actions and call everyone to join and be active in such actions to protect nature."
The Director of Report Information Agency, Fuad Huseynaliyev, noted that this action is an event dedicated to the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will take place in Baku in November: "In the future, when there is a large forest strip here, it will protect the city from the sandstorms typical of our region. Since the trees have not yet grown here, dust from this area rises into the air, fills the capital, and we breathe dusty air. We will see and feel the fruits of our labor in 10–15 years. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources for creating conditions for holding such events here for everyone. I call on other organizations to support this initiative aimed at improving the ecological situation of Baku."
Director of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Department of Global Assurance, Gunel Qureyshi, pointed out that 2024 has been declared the 'Green World Solidarity Year' in Azerbaijan and called on everyone to participate in initiatives for the sake of a green world: "I hope that such actions will be continuous, we should all do our best for this action and make all efforts to green Baku and Azerbaijan in general."
