"We are closely monitoring Azerbaijan's preparation for COP29 and can confidently say that Baku is well-prepared for hosting COP29," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, told a correspondent of the US bureau of Report.
"COP is a very important platform that mainly discusses climate issues and unites the international community. This COP is very important for us because we will be seeking solutions to our country's climate problems at COP29. As you know, Kyrgyzstan is a country with many mountains. We have over 11,000 glaciers in our country. Last year, many of these glaciers melted. The melting of glaciers causes landslides, and solving this problem is extremely important for us. At COP29, we will organize a large exhibition together with other brotherly countries - Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Türkiye," said the minister.
Kulubaev also wished Azerbaijan success in chairing COP.
