Elmar Mammadov: Key initiatives launched at COP29 received support from international organizations

Two key initiatives that received support from international organizations were launched during the Human Development Day at COP29, Elmar Mammadov, Head of Economic Cooperation Department at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Co-Chair of the COP29 Global Initiatives Group, said.

According to Report, speaking during the event "Investing in Skills - Important Commitment to Combat Climate Change" at COP29, he said UNESCO, the World Health Organization, the International Labor Organization, various UN agencies, and three multilateral development banks expressed their support.

"Among them are the Asian and Islamic Development Banks, as well as three funds - the Global Fund, the Green Climate Fund, and the Adaptation Fund. Additionally, we adopted an important document - the Guidelines for Climate Resilience for Human Development," he emphasized.
