Eco-activist: Whaling quotas increased

Whaling quotas in the world have been increased, eco-activist Maxel Holm told journalists on the sidelines of the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP29), which is being held in Baku from November 11 to 22, Report informs.

"We came to this event to talk about the extermination of whales and sharks, and try to make some changes. We want to call for action in this direction, as we are concerned about many negative phenomena associated with this problem. For example, the increase in whaling," he emphasized.

According to the guest, there are several countries in the modern world where whales are caught for commercial purposes.

"One of them is Norway. We are here to achieve changes and convey this information to the general public. People participating in this event should know that whaling quotas have been increased," he added.
