Dreli Solomon: Climate finance vital to crisis response for island states

Special attention is being paid to stimulating the development of state adaptation programs and sustainable, contextual, and long-term climate measures, Dreli Solomon, first secretary of the Embassy of Vanuatu in Belgium and the EU, said at the Climate and Development Ministerial (C&DM) during the second day of Pre-COP29 in Baku, Report informs.

"We comprehensively consider the entire spectrum of development and coordinate the distribution of financial, human, and technical resources to simultaneously address a whole range of issues," he said.

He added that climate financing plays a crucial role in overcoming the climate change crisis for island nations, allowing them to implement their climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
