Czech minister: Tourism should be kept on global climate agenda

Global crises caused by military conflicts, pandemics, and economic difficulties have a serious negative impact on tourism, which emphasizes the need to maintain this topic in the global climate agenda, Czech Minister of Regional Development Petr Kulhanek said at the First Ministerial Meeting on Advancing Climate Action in the Tourism Sector within the COP29, Report informs.

The minister added that representatives of the tourism industry must remain faithful to the principles of environmental responsibility and participate in decisions aimed at a sustainable future.

"Tourism has become an important topic in many political discussions. We must channel this energy into positive changes. I thank the COP29 chairman for including tourism in this important agenda," said Kulhanek.
