A country hosting COP faces logistical challenges, and it was truly miraculous to see how precisely Baku coped with those challenges, Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlacek told Report.
The ambassador noted that more than 70,000 people had registered to participate in the conference, and many heads of state and government attended COP29:
"The organization was at a high level. COP29 achieved its goals. Many participants at the conference noted that it's necessary to move from talks to concrete action regarding climate issues. We hope that the decisions made at the conference won't remain just on paper."
Touching upon cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan in green energy and renewable energy, the diplomat noted that although his country doesn't have resources like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, they have thinking minds in this field.
"First of all, we're talking about small hydroelectric power stations. Currently, negotiations are ongoing between the parties in this area. We want to gift some of our inventions in this field for implementation in the Karabakh region," the ambassador said.
