Azerbaijan, the host country of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), listens and actively cooperates with all stakeholders, according to Côte d'Ivoire's Foreign Minister Kacou Houadja Léon Adom.
In an interview with Report's American bureau correspondent, the minister added that he closely follows the activities of Azerbaijan's COP team.
"They are meeting with countries struggling with the consequences of climate change and establishing contacts with all parties. This is an important issue because to achieve successful results, we must act together," he stated.
Côte d'Ivoire has informed the Azerbaijani government about the climate challenges facing their country. "There is very little time left until COP29, and we believe that in Baku, we will achieve positive dynamics," the head of the department declared.
Kacou Houadja Léon Adom also revealed that he will visit Azerbaijan for the first time as part of COP29.
