COP29 president, lead negotiator meet with China's assistant foreign secretary

COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev and Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev have met with Miao Deyu, Assistant Foreign Secretary of the People’s Republic of China, Report informs, citing COP29's official page on the social network X.

"Finishing their trip to Beijing, COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev and Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev met with Miao Deyu, Assistant Foreign Secretary of the People's Republic of China, to discuss expectations and active participation at COP29," the post reads.
