The Azerbaijani COP29 Operating Company conducted a capacity building training program on sustainability to support government agencies’ efforts to adapt to global climate goals.
As the Operating Company told Report, online training and information sessions were held from July 8 through 26.
The training program, implemented by the Operating Company and foreign experts, is aimed at familiarizing various government agencies with the COP process and their effective participation in the event. The project, covering the areas of climate, sustainability, governance and social sphere, consisted of various sessions for government agencies representing 8 different sectors and served to deepen their understanding of climate issues, as well as to develop effective response strategies.
