COP29: Greenpeace calls for fulfillment of all Paris Agreement obligations

During the COP29 climate summit in Baku, Greenpeace International held a press conference focusing on expectations from the event in light of the recent US presidential elections.

Yeb Saño, Executive Director of Greenpeace Southeast Asia, emphasized, "Climate finance is the most challenging aspect of the Paris Agreement, and at COP29, these commitments must be realized." He highlighted that according to expert estimates, the required level of climate financing has already reached a staggering $5 trillion per year.

Yuan Yin, Greenpeace representative in China, noted that the country is dedicated to fulfilling its climate obligations and is prepared to collaborate with the global community to achieve shared goals. "Cooperating with the entire world community is the only way to reach our climate targets," she stressed.

Karilina Pascuali, Executive Director of Greenpeace Brazil, stated that her country is actively pursuing the development of climate initiatives.
