Cook Islands PM: Allocation of financial resources to combat climate change is disproportionate

The allocation of financial resources to combat climate change is disproportionate, Mark Brown, Prime Minister of the Cook Islands, said during his speech at the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Summit held within COP29 in Baku on November 13, Report informs.

According to Mark Brown, the allocation of financial resources is currently of crucial importance:

"The Loss and Damage Fund must now become operational, and it should be large-scale."

Mark Brown also stated that the Cook Islands highly value the importance of COP29 being held in Baku.
