In the first half of this year, the China-Europe Railway Express has made over 90,000 trips, transporting goods worth a staggering $380 billion, Qiu Xinli, a representative from the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said during an event at COP29 focused on continuous transport corridors.
Qiu Xinli emphasized the extensive reach of this rail line, connecting 123 cities in China with 224 cities across 25 European countries and 108 cities in 11 Asian nations.
He noted that China is currently implementing pilot projects in 56 ports, aiming to create world-class modern ports that harness smart technologies and digital management.
