Chairman of State Customs Committee: Digitalization first requirement of green customs initiative

The green customs initiative primarily requires modernization and digitalization of customs processes, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Shahin Baghirov said at the event "Green Customs - Dialogue of Leading Customs Officials" within the framework of COP29.

According to Report, he emphasized that the "Green Customs" concept aims to promote environmentally friendly trade policies and sustainable green supply chains in cooperation with international organizations, academia, private sector, civil society, and non-governmental organizations.
