Catering portal launched for COP29 participants

COP29 Azerbaijan Operations Company has launched a portal for organizing catering services at the conference venue.

Report informs that COP29 Azerbaijan Operations Company continues to work on ensuring a positive visitor experience for numerous guests who will travel to Baku from various countries to participate in the COP29 climate conference on November 11-22 this year, including efficient use of catering, accommodation, transportation, and other services.

Thus, various catering services that will be provided at the event venue during the conference have been presented on a unified portal to ensure the comfort of participants. Taking into account the different dining cultures and various tastes of visitors, the portal offers a wide menu selection including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and halal meals. Through the portal, participants in the Green and Blue Zones will be able to place individual meal orders, as well as order services such as tea and lunch breaks and snack supplies for their guests.

All types of catering services rendered at the COP29 venue will be organized based on sustainability principles. Prioritizing the use of local and seasonal products will not only reduce the carbon footprint by shortening transportation distances but is also important in terms of supporting regional farmers.

Additionally, minimizing the use of single-use plastics at the event venue to reduce waste, prioritizing environmentally friendly methods in food preparation, storage, and presentation, and other such factors are among the main requirements for catering facilities operating at the conference venue.

The COP29 Azerbaijan OC has provided appropriate training to the staff who will be working here to ensure their professional service level and compliance with food safety standards.

The portal for reservations of catering services can be accessed at the event venue. For detailed information, you can contact catering@cop29.az.
