The Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative for Farmers for farmers brings together all aspects of the agricultural sector and will be successful, said Prosper Dodiko, the Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock of Burundi, said at the COP29 event titled "Launch of Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative for Farmers: Empowering Farmers for Climate Resilience" held in Baku, Report informs.
According to the minister, the Initiative will allow for the implementation of useful practices.
“We can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by ensuring farmers' livelihoods through climate change adaptation and mitigation measures in the agricultural sector worldwide. I hope we will succeed in transforming agricultural systems and strengthening communities. Burundi supports cooperation, synergy, harmonization, and this is a very important approach," he noted.
