Investments in water security must be increased to ensure a sustainable agricultural system in the world, British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Mary Creagh told a panel discussion themed "Agricultural-food legacies from COP to COP: the key to achieving global climate goals" held within the framework of COP29, Report informs.
"Water and land resources must be protected. Without water, there is no food. In this regard, we are working with the World Bank to ensure sustainability in the agricultural sector worldwide, supporting countries through this cooperation. We need several reforms," Creagh noted.
