Ban Ki-moon: Food problems have far-reaching consequences

Food problems lead to far-reaching consequences for the entire world, former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon said in a video address to the participants of a panel within the framework of Baku Climate Action Week, Report informs.

Ban Ki-moon noted that with sufficient funding, more and more people will be able to participate in solving global climate issues.

"With the right investments in research and innovation, farmers, particularly women, as well as representatives of indigenous peoples and youth, can become part of the solution to many of the problems we face today," he said.
