As part of COP29, important documents were signed to promote the green transition of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and foster collaboration in this field.
According to Report, the signing ceremony took place in the Blue Zone of COP29.
The Baku Coalition Declaration for the Green Climate Transition of SMEs was signed by officials from the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE).
Initiated by KOBIA, the Declaration aims to unite global efforts and establish cooperation for the green transition of SMEs. The document commits to raising awareness, building capacity, improving access to green finance, and promoting innovation to help small businesses adopt best practices.
In addition to the Declaration, KOBIA, ITC, and SEBRAE also signed agreements on joint cooperation to facilitate the green transition of SMEs, addressing issues arising from the "Baku Coalition Declaration for the Green Climate Transition of SMEs."
