Azerbaijani energy minister meets Moldovan, Moroccan counterparts during COP29

Azerbaijan and Moldova have agreed to sign memorandums of cooperation in the areas of energy efficiency, promotion of renewable energy sources, and energy regulation, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X, Report informs.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Shahbazov and Moldova's Energy Minister Victor Parlicov on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku.

The meeting discussed the issues on the agenda of bilateral energy cooperation: “We agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy regulation, as well as to sign relevant memorandums in this direction in the near future,” Shahbazov said.

Shahbazov also explored the potential for collaboration on renewable energy, gas infrastructure, and prospective projects with Morocco’s Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali.
