Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister: No specific date set for next meeting with Armenia

The Azerbaijani delegation's attention is currently focused on COP29, and no meeting with the Armenian side to discuss the draft peace treaty is possible before December, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.

According to Report, the minister said such a meeting could take place in December or January next year, but there is no specific agreement on this yet.

Responding to Armenian side's statements about proposals for opening communications between the two countries, Bayramov reminded that this is not a new topic: "The 2020 Trilateral Statement has a special clause regarding this issue. There are obligations that Armenia has undertaken."

The foreign minister noted that if there are no announcements, no official documents, if Armenia hasn't initiated any actions in this direction, it means there are still open questions: "Azerbaijan has been actively working for a long time on creating transport communication infrastructure on its territory, and this infrastructure will soon be extended to the border with Armenia."
