Azerbaijan is prepared to share its expertise gained within the framework of the One Health concept, which is applied for the protection of the planet's living world, with other countries, said Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), Report informs.
Tahmazli made the announcement during the roundtable discussion on the One Health approach, held within the framework of COP29.
Tahmazli noted that important steps have been taken in Azerbaijan within the framework of the One Health concept, and the reforms carried out in recent years in this direction have yielded positive results.
"In the modern world, new challenges arise in society, including in social and economic spheres, due to the impact of climate and environmental factors. Joint action is crucial in identifying and managing these issues. In this regard, COP29 has special significance and plays an important role as a discussion platform with broad opportunities," he emphasized.
The chairman believes that factors that can seriously harm the health of humans and other living beings, as well as the environment, are currently manifesting themselves prominently worldwide.
"At the same time, relevant coordinated action mechanisms are being created on an international scale to manage these factors and minimize their harm," Tahmazli added.
