Azerbaijan discussed cooperation in renewable energy and implementation of innovative mechanisms in the economy with an American company.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the discussions took place during a meeting between Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf with Ken West, President and CEO of Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions, within the framework of COP29.
The meeting provided information about Azerbaijan's green energy policy and ongoing work and projects in renewable energy development. Additionally, Azerbaijan's priorities in industrial digitalization, sustainable development, energy transition, and human capital development were highlighted.
During the meeting, discussions focused on transitioning to sustainable business practices, renewable energy use, and cooperation in implementing innovative economic mechanisms. The importance of applying Honeywell Energy's experience in modern technologies in Azerbaijan for effective energy transition initiatives was emphasized, the Ministry of Economy noted.
The sides also exchanged views on the potential significance of Honeywell's innovative solutions for expanding sustainable energy resource use in Azerbaijan and organizing efficient operations across many economic sectors.
