In a bid to streamline and simplify transportation for the thousands of international guests set to visit Azerbaijan from November 11-22 for the COP29 conference, a new digital transport map has been launched.
Report informs citing the COP29 Operating Company that the online resource provides information on the location of transport hubs, as well as event venues and accommodation sites. This innovative solution aims to make navigating Baku a breeze for conference attendees.
The Government of Azerbaijan is offering accredited conference participants free access to city and airport buses, as well as public transportation. While complimentary public transport for delegations is not a requirement under UNFCCC guidelines, this gesture demonstrates Azerbaijan's commitment to going above and beyond as the host nation.
To take advantage of the free bus and public transport services (including metro, trains, and regular buses), delegates simply need to present their UNFCCC accreditation or confirmation letter.
For more information on using transport services during the conference, visit the official COP29 website.
