Azerbaijan and bp discussed cooperation in energy transition, construction of a solar power plant, and implementation of investment projects.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Economy, that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with bp's Executive Vice President for Production and Operations Gordon Birrell within the framework of COP29.
It was noted at the meeting that Azerbaijan is interested in strengthening international cooperation on energy transition as part of the fight against climate change.
In this regard, the sides noted the importance of cooperation in the field of energy transition, including the solar power plant construction project.
They noted that bp plays an important role in implementing international energy projects initiated by Azerbaijan, in developing Azerbaijan's energy resources, as well as in implementing investment projects.
The sides also exchanged views on green energy projects implemented with Azerbaijan's active participation, opportunities for developing joint activities in energy transformation, and other issues.
