At COP29, MP proposes to integrate climate topics into educational programs

The development of educational programs aimed at combating climate change is a key step in addressing environmental challenges, Azerbaijani MP Nigar Mammadova said at the event "Communicating Climate Change through Education: The Crucial Role of Youth and Educators" within the framework of COP29, Report informs.

According to Mammadova, climate education helps people better understand the nature of the climate crisis and respond to it effectively.

"COP29 serves as an important platform for helping countries fulfill their commitments in this area. Climate education should be part of every student's preparation for future challenges," she emphasized.

The MP noted the need to revise educational curricula considering climate issues and expand opportunities for educators. She paid special attention to the importance of volunteer programs in climate activities.
