The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is eagerly anticipating the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29), set to take place in Baku this November. The company hopes to witness a significant shift in green financing as a result of the conference.
In a statement to Report, an ADNOC representative expressed optimism about building upon the consensus reached during the previous COP session.
"We hope that during COP29, the billions that should be directed towards green financing will turn into trillions," the representative said, emphasizing that these efforts will contribute to achieving the crucial goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The representative further described COP29 as an "extremely exciting prospect" for the company and the global community at large.
