Some 50% of the bus fleet for COP29 has been equipped with green buses, Ayan Najaf, a member of the Coordination Council of the COP29 Operations Company, said at a seminar on "Understanding and analyzing ESG reports: environmental, social, and governance" held in Baku, Report informs.
According to Najaf, sustainability in transportation has been taken into account within the framework of COP29: "More than 150 electric vehicles have been included in the car fleet."
In addition, Najaf noted that a number of products used in COP29 will be recycled: "This project is being implemented together with Clean City OJSC. The goal of COP29 is to minimize environmental impacts and apply sustainable solidarity within all aspects of the event, along with public participation."
