The World Bank is set to commence its assessment of Azerbaijan as part of the Business Ready report by the end of 2024, according to Samira Musayeva, head of the Entering Business working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings and deputy head of the State Tax Service.
She said during the evaluation process, entrepreneurs, expert groups, and government agencies will receive a series of inquiries from the World Bank.
Vusal Shikhaliyev, head of the commission's secretariat and chief of the Economic Policy and Industrial Issues Department of the Presidential Administration, stated that Azerbaijan's indicators will be included in the Business Ready report in September 2025.
The Business Ready report, first published by the World Bank in early October this year, evaluated the business and investment climate in 50 countries worldwide. The upcoming second report, expected to be released next year, will cover a larger number of countries.
