Will those vaccinated with Chinese jab be allowed to EU?

"It is too early to say whether the European Union countries will limit access to those who were vaccinated with the Chinese-made coronavirus (COVID-19) jab," Kestutis Jankauskas, head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan, said, commenting on reports that those who received the Chinese drug won't be allowed to the EU.

"Azerbaijan's borders will remain closed until June 1. At present, the main goal is to ensure that as many people as possible are vaccinated. We see the situation in India, where 9% of the population has been inoculated, but the situation is out of control. Therefore, vaccination should continue at a high pace. We do not vaccinate for the sake of travel; we do it for health. AstraZeneca was recently delivered to Azerbaijan. The European Medical Agency is currently conducting assessments and analysis of the Chinese-made vaccine, but there is no definite opinion. Over time, the number and range of vaccines will increase. As a result, our choices will expand," he noted.
